The Joy of Gluten Free Bread Making
Recently, we have introduced bread baking classes at the bakery. To my surprise, quite a few people were interested and I’ve been told “It’s like trying to buy a concert ticket”! Yes, the class size is limited to four people not only because our bakery is small but we believe keeping it small has its advantages.
During the four-hour class, our students get down to business learning the basics of baking gluten & dairy free French, Artisan, and white bread. They also get to learn about each other’s gluten free journey. For some, this lifestyle has been one of many years and for others just newly diagnosed. The comradery is priceless and it absolutely feeds my sole to see the level of confidence peak as their loaves of bread come out of the oven. Their smiles and giddiness my mind documents.
This little bakery has surely come full circle and it excites me to share our knowledge of what we do best. Life is much too short to go without learning how to bake gluten free bread – if that is what one wants to do. And when you’re ready, we will be here for you!
